As I predicted from the start, John Mark Karr, the 41-year-old substitute elementary teacher who falsely confessed the murdering JonBenet Ramsey, has been dropped of murder and pornography charges.
Reports say that Karr plans to return to teaching elementary school and write a book about his experience.
I find it disappointing when individuals at the center of a high profile murder case rush to print their books to extend their 15 minutes of fame and capitalize financially from the public. Such memoirs are often poorly written, heavily biased, and simply distasteful. I recommend that my faithful followers not purchase the book in order to send a message to John Mark Karr and others like him who attempt to ride the wave of fame at the public's expense.
